It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Herbert Eugene Bright of Fayetteville, Georgia, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on October 3, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Bright of Alto and Kathleen Ham Bright of Graham; and his stepgranddaughter Abigail Saldana of Wichita Falls, Texas.. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Bright of Fayetteville, Georgia.; his children, Tracy Humphrey (Kevin) and Scott Bright (Michele); his grandchildren, Ashley Saldana (Mario), Tanner Bosley, Garrett Bosley, Elisa Uribe (Mark) and Emma Bright; his great grandchildren, Aaron Saldana, MJ Saldana, Adrianna Saldana and Athena Uribe; his sister Carolyn (Dennis Martel); his stepsons, Robert Barronton (Kim) and Scott Barronton (Melissa); his grandchildren, Katie Wells (Dakota), Jacob Barronton, Maggie Barronton, Carey Horton (Brady) and Will Barronton (Emily); and his great grandchildren, Palmer Horton, Rhodes Horton, Asher Wells, Lyla Wells, Charlotte Wells and Hudson Wells.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Fayetteville First Baptist Church (205 Stonewall Ave E, Fayetteville, GA 30214). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Southern Grace Hospice and or Fayetteville First Baptist Church Building Fund.
