He is survived by : his wife Linda Davis Benefield; his sons, Jade Benefield (Jenelle) of Newnan and Seth Benefield (Laura) of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Davis, Cole (Taylor), Reed, Jane, Dorsey Benefield and Gracie Hess; and his brothers, Jerry Benefield (Evelyn) of Murfreesboro, TN, Jimmy Benefield (Judy) of Cartersville, GA and Harold Benefield (Mindy) of Newnan, GA. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Red's honor to FFUMC, 175 E Lanier Ave, Fayetteville, GA 30214.
