He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas; and his siblings, Ida Smith, Naoma Launius, Janice Brown, Altha Jones, Harris Rateliff, Thomas Rateliff and Felix Rateliff.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Rackley; his children, Keith (Katy), Monty and Sloan Segala (Michael); and his grandchildren, Josh Rateliff, Camille Rateliff, Isaac Rateliff, John Rateliff, Isabella Harper (Chris) and Luca Segala. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.
