He was predeceased by: his parents, James Russell and Beverly Anne McFarland Murphy. He is survived by: his siblings, Mike Murphy of Jacksonville, Florida and Marla Shierling of Jacksonville; and his nephews, Sidney Shierling (Mary Grace) of Jacksonville, Florida. and Samuel Shierling of Jacksonville, Florida..
