He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren Candler Higginbotham and Louise Herndon Higginbotham; his wife Dot; his siblings, Michael and Barbara; and his sons, Danny and Curtis.

He is survived by: his brother Carroll Higginbotham (Karen); his children, Connie Bodimer (Bob), Sheri LeDoux (Ricky) and James Warren Higginbotham; his grandchildren, Pamela Weatherby, Jessica Grant, Brittany Higginbotham, Shelby McClain, Taylor Higginbotham and Olivia Higginbotham; and his great grandchildren, Evan Weatherby and Amberlin Rains.

Robert has requested any donations be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
