He was predeceased by: his parents, James Herman'Jack'Vandiver, I and Lessie Mae Hefner Vandiver; his grandson Jay Vandiver, Jr. of Fayetteville; his great grandchild Larry McNorton, III of Fayetteville; his siblings, James'Jay'Vandiver, II (Sue) of Murrayville, Montine Vandiver of Gainesville, Katherine Vandiver of Gainesville, Marion Vandiver Love (Johnny) of Columbia and Ann Vandiver Warr (Randy) of Griffin; and his nephews, Greg and Dale Brown.
He is survived by: his niece Dianne; his wife Ella Ruth'Snooky'Hutchins Vandiver of Senoia, Georgia.; his children, Scott Vandiver, Jr. (Corolla) of Marietta, Jay Vandiver (Joyce) of Fayetteville, Paul Vandiver (Cindy) of Griffin, Bryan Vandiver of Fayetteville, Joy Vandiver McNorton (Larry) of Fayetteville and Amy Vandiver Hardin (Bob) of Senoia, Georgia.; his grandchildren, Audreyana Vandiver Aaron (Michael), Holly McNorton, Jacob Vandiver, Larry'Storm'McNorton, Jr., Sammy Gardner, Lea Vandiver, Ashlyn Gardner, Mayah Walley, Makaylah Walley, Waylen McNorton, Eliana Aaron and Elisha Aaron; and his sister Julie'Judy'Vandiver Donald (Tom) of Tifton, Georgia..
Visitation was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Ebenezer Church (680 Ebenezer Church Rd, Fayetteville, GA 30215). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
