She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Averett and Minnie Benton; her husband Edward L. Evans; her sons, Ray G. Evans and Darryl E. Evans; and her siblings, Gladys Campbell, Ruby Scott, Precious Johnson, Jimmy Averett and Sam Averett.
She is survived by: her son Anthony T. Evans (Deborah D.); her grandchildren, Christina Evans, Branford M. Evans and Brandon Wheeless; her sister Hazel of Washington; and her daughters-in-law, Vanessa M. Evans and Deborah R. Evans. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
