He was predeceased by: his former wife Minnie Kelley Lewis; his parents, Homer Lewis and Estelle Lewis; and his brother Homer Lewis, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Mary Lewis; his daughters, Kay Prevost (Ed), Pamela Knowles (late Chuck) and Ivy Mathews (Eddie); his grandchildren, Sheri Rhodes (Brent), Ed Drake, Chip Knowles (Paige), Kelley Colgrove (Tim) and Laci Mathews; his great grandchildren, Maddi, Brody Rhodes, Charlotte and Anniston Knowles; and his brother William Lewis (Peggy). He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, June 3rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home (180 N Jeff Davis Dr, Fayetteville, GA 30214).
