He was predeceased by: his parents, William Griffis (Billy) and Gertrude Inman Griffis; and his brother William I. Griffis. He is survived by: his children, Dustin Jay Griffis of Tifton, GA and Lindsey Griffis Walters (Jonathan) of Pike Road, AL; his grandchildren, Adalyn Ray Walters and Ann Harvey Walters of Pike Road, AL; his siblings, Dawn Griffis (Todd Wheeler) of Waycross and Terry L. Griffis (Delane) of Foley, AL; and his sister-in-law Eileen Griffis of Statesboro, GA. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
