She was predeceased by: her parents, James M. Daniel, Sr. and Louise Biggers Daniel; her husband George W. McMurtrie, Sr.; and her brother James M. Daniel, Jr. (Ruth). She is survived by: her children, Sandra Locke (late Wayne) and George McMurtrie, Jr. (Chip); her grandchildren, Lisa Johnson (Allan), Michelle Locke, Coleman Locke, Melissa McMurtrie (Keith Vaughn) and Patrick McMurtrie; her great grandchildren, Daniel Coleman Johnson and Allyn Michelle Johnson; and her caregivers, Earlene, Tonya and Tammy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, August 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory (3239 Battlefield Pkwy, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742). A funeral service was held on Thursday, August 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
