He was predeceased by: his parents, Roy "Red" Dickson and Louise "Dot" Dickson; his brothers, Jerry Dickson, Sr. and Roy "Red" Dickson, Jr.; and his nephews, Jerry Dickson Jr. and Roy Dickson III.
He is survived by: his wife Bette Burton Dickson; his children, Steve Dickson, Melissa Orum (John) and Matt; his grandchildren, Isabel Brown (Nathan), Maggie Dickson, Sam Dickson (Meredith), John Burton Orum, Miller Orum and Boone Orum; his great grandchild Bonnie Kate Brown; and his sisters, Patsy Renegar and Rosemary Cheek (James).
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Chattanooga Valley Church of Christ (419 N Nick-A-Jack Rd, Flintstone, GA 30725). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
