He was predeceased by: his parents, Matt Ransom Ward Jr. and Easter Wilkerson Ward; and his brother John Ward. He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Ward; his daughter Jenna; his son-in-law Dustin Downs; his sons, Matt Ward IV and Carter Ward; his grandchildren, Jack Downs, John Downs and Dani Downs; his brother Tim; and his sister-in-law Tish Ward. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
