It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Larry Benefield of Flowery Branch, Georgia, born in Braselton, Georgia, who passed away on April 19, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ed Benefield and Willie Belle Thompson Benefield; his sons, Michael Larry Benefield and Rodney Charles Benefield; and his brothers, Jack Benefield and Johnny Benefield.

He is survived by : his daughter Carol Simpson of Flowery Branch; his close friend Nancy Howington; his son Chancey Howington of Braselton; his grandchildren, Eddie, Shannon, Stacie, Tanya, Britney Simpson of Flowery Branch, Alex Benefield of Winder, Sarah Benefield of Winder and Channing Howington of Braselton; his children, Knox Howington of Braselton and Wyatt Howington of Braselton; his pet Outlaw; and his brother Edgar Benefield (Virginia) of Flowery Branch. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 22nd 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the Chapel of Memorial Park (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504).
