He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Heard and Alice Jeanette Frasier Heard; his brothers, George, Keith and Scotty Heard; his former wife Patricia Byron; and his niece Hannah Vincent.
He is survived by: his son James Corey Heard of Buford, GA; his granddaughter Addison Dickey; his sisters, Belinda Heard of Flowery Branch and Alice Watson of Winder, GA; his siblings' children, Nichol Stone, Ashley Watson, Miranda Stone, Don Stone and Chasten Lamaster; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Lyzeasia Watson, Destiny Court, Zeah Stone, Caleb Moore, Ryland Stone, Charlie Stone and Thomas Stone.
