He was predeceased by : his parents, Early Gandy and Lily Ponder Gandy; his wife Emily Zeigler Gandy; and his daughters, Gale Gandy Lee of Cairo, GA, Donna Kay Laycock (Lynn) of Dacula, GA and Carol Faye Fleitz (Robert) of McDonough, GA.

He is survived by : his stepchildren, Tracy B. Troutman (Henry) of Gainesville, GA and Robert Battle (Cindy) of Greenwood, IN. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
