He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Andrew and Anna Bender Dillon; his stepfather Charles A. Lantzy; his wife Joyce Eileen Dillon (Hertzog); his sons, Joseph Paul Dillon and James Robert Dillon; and his siblings, Richard Dillon, Pauline Dillon and JoAnne Ownes Maneval (Dillon).
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Anne Holloway (Robert) and Joni Lynne Bennett (Bhupendra Chhetri); his grandson James Perry Holloway; and his stepgrandchildren, Robert Carl Holloway and Cassandra Lynn Holloway (Deborah Stone). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made in Robert's name to The American Legion Post 0007, 2343 Riverside Drive, Gainesville, Georgia 30501.
