He was predeceased by : his parents, Sam R. Thomas and Carrie Bell Thomas; his wife Judy Ann Thomas; and his siblings, Elmer W. Thomas of Woodbine, GA and Hazel Troupe.

He is survived by : his daughter Tonya Chancy (William) of Naples, FL.; his grandchildren, Austin and Emily Chancy; and his close friend Nora Johnson of Folkston, GA..

In lieu of flowers, the family asked that donations can be made to the Dementia Society of America.
