He is survived by: his wife Faye Carter of Brantley County; his daughter Rebecca Highsmith (Jeff) of Brantley County; his grandchildren, Annsley of Brantley County, Annabelle of Brantley County, Ellis of Brantley County, Ella of Brantley County and Jacob Highsmith of Brantley County; his siblings, Ethelleene Kitchings (Lamar) of Charlton County, Tommy Carter (Sheila) of Charlton County, Timmy Carter (Vicki) of Charlton County and David Wheaton of Florida; and his nephew Zach Carter (Kricket) of Charlton County. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other friends and family.
