He was predeceased by: his parents, Buford Silver and Edna Jackson Silver; his son Todd Harmon; and his brothers, Lonnie Silver and Steve Marshall.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Silver; his children, Alton Silver, Jr. (Kate), Tonya Bullard, Scott McKenzie Silver (Sarah), Brad Harmon (Charlene), Dana Harmon and Lisa Harmon; and his sister Laverne Crank. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
