With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Jane Smith of Forsyth, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 14, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her husband Roy Alexander Smith; her parents, George Griggs and Jewel Strickland Griggs; her son David A. Smith; and her sisters, Mattie Kate Bishop, Corrie Williamson, Ruth Ford and Mary Edwards.
She is survived by: her children, Judy K. Young and Kenneth S. Smith (Peggy). She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
