She was predeceased by: her parents, George McKinley Vaughan and Annie Mae Marshall Vaughan; her husband John Dennis Hester; her siblings, Barbara Davis, Peggy Bloodworth and Gene Vaughan; her siblings-in-law, Terry Knapp, Vernon Davis, Jack Evans, Mel Walker and Mary Vaughan; and her children, Sonja Evans (Cliff) of Smarr and Tim Hester (Connie) of Forsyth.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Cliff Evans III (Lindsey) and Kyle Evans (Brooke); her great grandchildren, Sophie, Sara, Scarlet and Eli Evans; her siblings, Weyman Vaughan (Sue), Chappie Vaughan (Selena), Chipper Vaughan (Tonya), Anita Walker, Georgia Knapp and Debbie Evans; her brother-in-law Fred Hester (Bobbie); and her caregiver Carolyn Geiger.
