Gary Scott Ard Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Scott Ard of Forsyth, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 8, 2025 at the age of 70. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary Scott Ard to pay them a last tribute.
Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gary touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar "Pete" Ard and Mildred Ard. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Ard; his stepson Chris Whitehead of Forsyth, Georgia; his children, Jennifer, Hannah Ard of Orlando, Angie Ard of Forsyth, Georgia and Andy Ard of Indiana; and his grandson Jasper Luke Whitehead. He is also survived by his wife, children, and grandson.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 11th 2025 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the Rock Springs Church (219 Rock Springs Rd, Milner, GA 30257). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Flowers are welcome and may be sent to Monroe County Memorial Chapel, or donations can be made to the Georgia Firefighters Burn Foundation in Scott's memory, as a tribute to his lifelong commitment to firefighting and training others.
