It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Walter Gilmore of Forsyth, Georgia, born in Port Saint Joe, Florida, who passed away on December 3, 2023, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Fannie Lou Johnston Collins and Lenard Franklin "Sam" Gilmore; his sister Sadie Lou Dingley; and his stepsiblings, Ella Faye Ansley, Nathaniel, Leroy, Isaac and David Collins.
He is survived by : his sons, James Jr. (Claire Gilmore) and Joe (Alina Gilmore); his grandchildren, Jamey, Anna, Nolan and Naomi Gilmore; his siblings, Sammie J Carter (Jimmy), Linda F Gilmore, Clara B Parrish (Willard), Frank Collins, Jr. (Katrina), Yana Herold (Craig), Mary J Anisowicz (Michael) and Joan R O'Connell (Patrick); his stepsiblings, Jody Thomas, Ethel Moore and Barbara Browning; and his nieces and nephews, Keith Collins, John B Singleton (Dannica), Jojeana Jernigan, Lauren R Vera (Hollis), Jonathan Collins (Melissa), Jennifer Morrow (Josh), Sarah Ewers (Evan), Brian Anisowicz, Alexia O'Connell, Stephen O'Connell and Frankie Collins.
