He was predeceased by: his parents, Welch Welch and Vera Evans Welch; his wife Nancy Ethridge Welch; and his siblings, Neil Welch and Jo Jones.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Ronald Welch Jr. (Donna Sellers Welch) of Juliette, Mickey Welch (Kathy Bell Welch) of Juliette and Rhonda Welch DeZoort (Sean) of Forsyth; his grandchildren, Bennett Welch, Kacie Welch Scott (Trevor Scott), Heather Plaines (Ridgely), Spencer Welch (Lexie), Chloe DeZoort, Emmie DeZoort-Roper (Brady) and Abbie DeZoort; and his great grandchildren, Tripp Plaines, Rylie Welch and Will Roper. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of the Cupola (6324 Peake Rd, Macon, GA 31210).
