He was predeceased by: his wife Boots Cushen; his parents, Waddie Cushen and Janie Cushen; Harvey Cushen, Marvin Cushen, Garvin Cushen, Ovell Waddell, Lethel Cowart, Luven Cushen, Viona Whitmore, Euthema Buckles and Arlon Cushen.
He is survived by: his niece Sheila Holtzhower; and his uncle Arvel. He is also survived by daughter along with several nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and nephews, and many great- great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Tuesday, October 27th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Town Creek Cemetery (809 Marshall Rd, Rainsville, AL 35986).
