He was predeceased by: his parents, David Benjamin and Frances Dalton Ward; and his brother Gerard "Jerry" Franklin Ward. He is survived by: his wife Tamara Ward; his daughters, Rachel Elizabeth Cureton (Ray) of Farmington, Leah Ruth Ward (Andrew Friedlander) of Chattanooga and Amy Kathleen Ward of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia; his sisters, Anna Faye Tournbaugh (Jerry) of Farmington and Rose Marie O'Neal of Farmington; his grandchildren, Austin Lee Cureton (Kylee), Cameron Ray Cureton, Katie Lynne Cureton and Micah Benjamin Ward; and his great grandchildren, Lainey Mae Cureton and Liam Ray Johnson.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Rock Pointe Church (1278 Cross St, Fort Oglethorpe, GA 30742).
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested a memorial donation to Ben Ward's funeral account at W. L. Wilson and Sons Funeral Home in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia.
