It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gary Nation of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his son Bryan Nation; his parents, Grady Nation and Margie Nation; and his siblings, Lamar Nation and Genell Nation.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Nation; his daughter Amanda Goldberg (Ryan); his stepson Scott Lockwood (Donna); his brothers, Jerry, Michael and David Nation; his grandchildren, Josh, Brianna, Hayli, Skylar and Lawson; and his great grandchildren, A. J., Kohen and Keegan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home - South Crest Chapel (833 Chickamauga Ave, Rossville, GA 30741). A graveside service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404).
