He was predeceased by: his parents, John Deckerd and Minnie McCormick (Parker); and his siblings, John Deckerd McCormick and Edna Mae Knight. He is survived by: his wife Pearl McCormick; and his children, Diana McCormick Coleman, James Albert McCormick, Jr. and Dennis Christopher Armstrong (Courtney). He is also survived by his many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 2613 Lakeview Dr, Rossville, GA 30741. A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Hope Baptist Church.
