He is survived by: his daughter Heather Maureen Armstrong; his sister-in-law Nancy Nettles D'Andrea; his niece Cynthia D'Andrea; and his great-niece Allison Smith Combs (Tyler).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Barth Room at Grace Episcopal Church (20 Belvoir Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37411). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Grace Episcopal Church (20 Belvoir Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37411).
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a gift be made to the Grace Episcopal Memorial Fund or to Appalachian Trail Conservancy.
