It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sheila Henley of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, born in Soddy Daisy, Tennessee, who passed away on October 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Alexander and Geneva Alexander; her husband Damon Lamar Henley, Sr.; her son Damon "Lamar" Henley, Jr.; her grandparents, Chester and Hermian Alexander; and her siblings, Joey Alexander and Kathy Jenkins.
She is survived by: her son Dwight Henley (Christy); her siblings, Janice Varner, James Alexander (Marsha) and Ricky Alexander (Carl); her grandchildren, Aaron Hughes (Allie), Drake Henley and Jenna Wimpee; her great grandchildren, Camden, Temperance, Blair, Wyatt, Ezra and Spencer; her daughter-in-law Misty Williams (Dee); and her friend Lewis McMullen, Sr.. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Lane Funeral Home - South Crest Chapel (833 Chickamauga Ave, Rossville, GA 30741). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
