He was predeceased by : his parents, Jovita Munguia and José Maria Aguilar; and his wife Teresa. He is survived by : his children, José, Bertha (Antonio), Norma (Chris), Abel Jr. (Sonia), Marisela (Luis), Teresa (Arnoldo) and Alma Lorena (Brandon); and his brother Alberto. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
