It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Annette Deese Johnson of Fort Valley, Georgia, who passed away on July 13, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Douglas Logan Deese Sr. and Lois Twilley Deese; her daughters, Tammy White and Brenda Kay Coe; her grandsons, Shannon Smith and Ashley Smith; and her siblings, Douglas Logan "Doug" Deese Jr., John Alvin "Bud" Deese, Mary Oliver, Dot Grinnell, Bobby Deese and Joy Deese.
She is survived by: her daughter Cathy Jackson; her grandchildren, Amanda Kirkpatrick, Chad Kirkpatrick (Rachel), Kevin Jackson and Callie Archer; her great grandchildren, Jacob Anglon, Reagan Obester (Austin), Zoey Kirkpatrick, Zaylee Kirkpatrick, Cam Kirkpatrick, Anzlee Archer, Grayson Archer, Kyle Smith and Lamara Smith; her brothers, William Deese (Rhonda) and Terry Deese (Karen); and her son-in-law William White. She is also survived by nieces and nephews; and many more family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rooks Funeral Home (109 W White Rd, Byron, GA 31008). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Oaklawn Cemetery (720 S Camellia Blvd, Fort Valley, GA 31030).
