It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Billie Sue Thames of Fort Valley, Georgia, born in Spring City, Tennessee, who passed away on October 13, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Willie Spurlin and Edna Rumph Spurlin; her husband Leonard Edwin Thames; and her friends, Beverly and Frannie.

She is survived by : her cousin Lee Pope; her son David Thames (Mary Ann); her grandson Joshua Thames (Mary Therese); her sisters-in-law, Charlotte VanHoosier and Elizabeth Thames; and her pet Boogie. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
