It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edwin Lee Sanders Sr. of Fort Valley, Georgia, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Lee Sanders; his mother Gertrude Cox; and his brother Jimmy West. He is survived by: his wife Glenda Sanders; his daughter-in-law Scarlet Sanders; his grandchildren, Adrienne, Jacob Cowen, Levi, Stormie Sanders, Bailey Sanders, Adalei Sanders and Easton Sanders; his great grandchildren, Wyatt Cowen, Jedwin Cowen, Summer Sanders, Nolan Sanders, Stetson Sanders and Ila Sanders; and his sister Betty (Bill Reckling). He is also survived by family members, friends, and his church family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Rooks Funeral Home (109 W White Rd, Byron, GA 31008). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Roberta City Cemetery (607 S Mathews St, Roberta, GA 31078).
