We bid farewell to Elizabeth Thames of Fort Valley, Georgia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 17, 2024 at the age of 87. Elizabeth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by : her husband Bobby Thames. She is survived by : her children, Sharon (David Ratley) of Hiawassee, Joel (Julie Thames) of Dalton, Matthew (April Thames) of Calhoun and Joy (Marty Posthauer) of Nashville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Steve Ratley, Susan Ratley, Alex Thames, Betsy Manley, Bobby Thames, Carter Thames, Heather Kays, Hannah Walters, Zack Kennington, Rob Kennington and Kerris Blaylock; and her siblings, Phillip McLeroy and Janice Gaultney. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Rooks Funeral Home (109 W White Rd, Byron, GA 31008). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 21st 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made in honor of Elizabeth to the Michael J. Fox for Parkinsons Foundation or Rally Foundation.
