It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ken Armistead of Fort Valley, Georgia, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on May 5, 2023, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by : his wife Effie Mae Armistead; his stepdaughters, Peggy Knight (John) and Phillis Ballew; his stepgrandchildren, Jessica Oliver (Jeffrey), John Knight III (Brooke Simonds) and Joshua Knight (Kayleigh); and his siblings-in-law, Joyce Moncrief (Jimmy), Randy Giles and Wilson Giles. He is also survived by 8 step great grandchildren.
