He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Alcantar and Lucia Vilchis Alcantar; and his children, Alejandro Alcantar and Malena Alcantar. He is survived by: his wife Jova Alvarado Alcantar; his children, Jamie Alcantar (Ximena), Oswaldo Alcantar (Deisy), Enrique Alcantar, Jose Luis Alcantar (Eva), Ricardo Alcantar (Susan), Maria Hernandez, Carmen Diaz, Leonor Gutierrez (Mario) and Irma Casas (Ignacio); and his daughter-in-law Christy Alcantar. He is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins.
