He was predeceased by : his parents, William R. Taylor and Olive Eudora "Dodie" Wills Taylor; and his wife Elaine Smith Taylor. He is survived by : his children, Tammy Marie Collier (Darrell), Rachael Pate (Russell), Jennifer Spikes (Anthony), Rae Elaine Taylor, William Taylor and Clayton Taylor; his grandchildren, Darrell Collier Jr., Jacob Collier, Noah Pate, Madeline Pate and John Michael Pate; and his great grandchildren, Lofton Collier and Kiyana Taylor.

In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Grace Baptist Church.
