It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walton Eugene Stokes of Fortson, Georgia, who passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Paul Howard Stokes; his parents, Clifford Stokes and Lulean Stokes; and his siblings, Beverly Saucier and JW Stokes.
He is survived by: his wife Faye Nall Stokes of Fortson, GA; his children, Tracy Brown (Mark) of Clarksville, TN and Cliff Stokes (Beth) of Fortson, GA; his grandchildren, Jessica Newman (Zach), Troy Brown (Brittany), Kelli Farmer (Josh), BriAnn and Ellie Grace Stokes; and his siblings, Clara Jean Stewart and Calvin Stokes. He is also survived by many loving in-laws, nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the Maranatha Baptist Church (303 Double Churches Rd, Columbus, GA 31904). Visitation will be held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Faith Bible Baptist Church (5801 N Century Blvd, Century, FL 32535). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
