She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Griffin and Sallie McDowell Griffin; her husband Alphes Winston "Alph" Wortham; and her grandson-in-law Lee Phillips. She is survived by: her children, Joseph W. Wortham (Fairy) of Peachtree City, Patricia Pope (Harold) of Newnan and Ronald G. Wortham (Benita) of Franklin; and her grandchildren, Shawn Pope (Melissa), Amy Moore (Kevin), Marianne Cole (Jimmy), Joseph Wortham, II (Chris), Sheri Phillips and Gary Wortham (Lindsey). She is also survived by fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Franklin First Baptist Church (222 Main St, Franklin, GA 30217). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
