She was predeceased by: her parents, John H. Peters and Colleen Ann Calahan Peters; and her siblings, Judith Baranik, Mary Calhoun and Tim Peters.
She is survived by: her husband Richard Frank Valente; her daughters, Marie Valente and Jessica Valente (Ryan DeMars); her grandchildren, Elia DeMars and Evan DeMars; her siblings, Danny Peters, Pat (Terri Peters), Tommy (Kathy Peters) and Sue; and her brother-in-law Randy Vipond. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial contributions be made in Kathy's memory to the Humane Society of Carroll County, in honor of her lifelong love for animals, or to the American Cancer Society, in support of the ongoing fight against cancer.
