He was predeceased by: his parents, Thelma Kermit Dykes and Virginia Marvene Brown Dykes. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Dykes of Franklin; his children, Robert W. Scholtes (Renee) of Hogansville and Rachel Mathis (Jason) of Senoia; and his grandsons, Christopher Pearden, Caleb Pearden, Landon Mathis and Terrence Turner. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
