Alan Franks Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alan Franks of Gainesville, Georgia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Franks of Ringgold, GA and Melba Phillips of Blairsville, GA; and his wife Jane Butt Franks of Blairsville. He is survived by: his daughter Seantee'Franks McCurdy of Ringgold, GA; his grandchildren, Jada Wilson and Devin Wilson; his great grandchildren, Stella Long and Barrett Wilson; his child Tessy Franks of Chatsworth, GA; his grandchildren, Damon Winkler and Kella King; and his brothers, Randall Franks of Tunnel Hill, GA, Ivan Phillips (Leah) of Cartersville, GA and Donny Phillips (Sandra) of Suwanee, GA.

Alan was a faithful supporter of his brother, Randall Franks, a multiple music halls of fame entertainer, and his Appalachian music scholarship charity.
