She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Judson McConnell Jr.; and her parents, John Murphy and Mae Murphy. She is survived by: her children, Dr. Thomas McConnell of Spartanburg, SC, Laura Alyson McConnell (Alan Knoll) and John (Emily McConnell); and her grandchildren, Benjamin Knoll, John A. McConnell and Rosemary Van Dyke.
