He was predeceased by: his parents, Esley Parks and Laura Parks Cantrell (Castleberry); his wife Dorothy Ann Parks; his brother T. E. "Gip" Parks; and his brother-in-law Jimmie Mathis.
He is survived by: his daughter Levenia; his son-in-law Eston Martin of Gainesville; his granddaughters, Laura Martin, Abbie Barnes (Craig) and Lena Bennett (Mark) of Gainesville; his great grandchildren, John Martin Bennett, Reagan Bennett and Benjamin Bennett; his sister-in-law Mary Mathis; and his niece Evonda Mathis. He is also survived by numerous nieces, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.
