He was predeceased by : his parents, Carnell Martin and Desser Samples Martin; his daughter Tracey Lynn Hollis; and his brothers, Jimmy Martin, Ralph Martin and Billy Martin.

He is survived by : his grandson Dalton Lee Martin; his wife Brenda Martin of Gainesville; his daughters, Janie Heaton of Warrenton, Elizabeth Turpin of Gainesville and Christy; his son-in-law Danny Underwood of Homer; his sons, Donnie Lee (Sherry Martin) and Benny Samuel (Janice Martin); and his siblings, Veda Lynn Dyer and Horace Martin of Gainesville. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Funeral Home (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Memorial Park (2030 Memorial Park Dr, Gainesville, GA 30504).
