He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Artley and Minnie Lee Appling Artley; and his brother David Artley. He is survived by: his wife Chiqui Artley; his daughter Valerie Wingerd; his grandsons, Isaac and Charlie; and his sisters, Ruth Watkins and Becky McClure. He is also survived by 3 nieces, and 3 nephews.
