With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Christine Shook Allen in Gainesville, Georgia, who passed away on September 6, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Christine is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Christine's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Garland Shook and Zuria Shook; and her brothers, James Shook, Garland "June" Shook and Fred "Dee" Shook.
She is survived by: her husband George "Red" Wesley Allen, Jr.; her children, Scott, Jackie and Anita; and her sister Irene Land. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 12th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Banister-Cooper Funeral Home (678 N Main St, Hiawassee, GA 30546). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Union Hill Methodist Church (457 Sunnyside Rd, Hiawassee, GA 30546).
