He was predeceased by: his parents, C. C. Strickland and Ruby Strickland; and his siblings, Robert Strickland, William Strickland, Boyd Strickland and Johnnie Sue Wilson.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Strickland; his son David; his daughter-in-law Caroline Strickland; his grandchildren, Micah and Miranda Strickland; and his sister Jean Farmer. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
