He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Alvin and Bertie Mae Satterfield Cain; his son Derek Alan Cain; his former wife Jo Ann Weems Cain; his brother Lee; his sister-in-law Marie Cain (Lawson); his siblings, Rex Cain and Inez; and his brothers-in-law, Grover Brock, Arvin Gearin and Benny Hawkins.
He is survived by: his wife Sandra Abernathy Cain of Gainesville; his son Darin; his daughter-in-law Peggy Cain of Gainesville; his daughter Penny; his son-in-law Bobby McGee of Gainesville; his grandsons, Derek Cain (Jessica), Drew Cain (Katelyn) and DJ Kerns (Emily); his great grandchildren, Dawson Cain, Riley Cain, Denver Cain, Mason Cain, Duncan Cain and Tate Cain; his stepsons, Rhett Tyner (Amy) and Nick Tyner (Beth); his stepgrandchildren, Bree Tyner, Trey Tyner, Callie Tyner, Cullen Tyner and Mandi Lora (Kevin); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Quinn Lora and Cooper Lora; his sister Patsy Gearin; and his sister-in-law Jean Hawkins (Happy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family and other loving relatives.
